DPS Lunch Program Information

In order to maximize the funding our school receives to educate students, it is VERY important that parents/legal guardians complete the Application for Meal Benefits and return it to the school cafeteria or the Food and Nutrition Services Office at 2320 W. 4th Avenue, Denver, CO 80223 as QUICKLY as possible. Schools receive much of their funding from students qualifying for meal benefits even if you choose not to participate in the school meal program. After the meal application has been processed, the Dept. of Food and Nutrition Services will send you a notification letter that documents your child’s status for free, reduced or full pay meals.

Please send money with your student to the cafeteria, as we do not want to see a student go hungry. Students and/or parents/guardians are encouraged to pay in advance for meal purchases. Deposits in any amount may be made to a student’s personal account, either at the school or on-line at My School Bucks. This reduces the chance that their lunch money is forgotten, lost or stolen. While students have the option of paying as they go through the line, advance payment will speed transactions, allowing lines to move more quickly and affording more time for eating their meals.

If you choose NOT to complete an Application for meal Benefits or do not qualify for free or reduced price meals, the prices for the 2016-17 school year are as follows:

Breakfast prices
No charge

Lunch Prices
Full price lunch = $2.60
Reduced lunch = $0.40
Free lunch = $0.00 (student must qualify to receive free lunch)
