Mission & Vision

Our Vision: HTEC will prepare all students to be collaborative and competitive in a four-year college and in a 21st Century Global Economy.

Our Mission: Through applied learning and intense connections with business and industry we will prepare students to become successful 21st Century leaders through rigorous academics and project based learning activities while providing students the supports and skills necessary to obtain up to two years of college credit while enrolled in high school.

The High Tech Early College Way is founded on four progressive pillars: “Love, Challenge, Own, Equipped”. The freshman experience is grounded in love and differentiated supports for all students as they transition into the increased expectations of high school.  By developing strong systems such as self-monitoring standards achievement and sharing progress in student-led conferences, ninth graders build a strong academic base. Sophomores are prepared for the challenge of accelerated, project-based opportunities. Two of these options include Advanced Placement coursework and CareerConnect internships. Juniors begin to truly own their education by enrolling in concurrent enrollment classes through college partner Community College of Aurora and engaging in advanced levels of CareerConnect pathways coursework. Senior year includes delving deeply into the college application process, including student-driven lessons on scholarships, financial aid, and other aspects of postsecondary planning. By graduation, students are equipped for a smooth transition into a world that demands  the ability to flexibly address problems, communicate effectively, manage information,  and think creatively.
