HTEC Organizations

HTEC offers students the opportunity to participate in school enrichment activities which are conducted on our campus. The staff includes experienced secondary and college level educators who want to provide supplemental opportunities for students. The following opportunities are available for students to participate in:

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

The mission of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is to bring business and education together by providing a unique experience for those students who excel in business. As a member of FBLA, you are recognized as a National affiliate member, as well as, a Colorado State Member. We participate at District and State Competitions. Approximate costs include; Dues $15, District Conference $20 and the State Conference $110, fund raising opportunities are available.

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college and other postsecondary opportunities.  Simply, AVID trains educators to use proven practices in order to prepare students for success in high school, college, and a career, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education.

National Honor Society

National Honor Society is a highly esteemed national student group committed to the pillars of scholarship, leadership, character, and service to the community. Distinguished 10-12th graders will receive invitations to apply in September based on excellence in the four areas mentioned. We hope you are among our new members! This club is held after school on long Wednesdays, and also gathers at other times for fundraisers, social events, and community service. See the NHS bulletin board in Lower A Pod for further details about members and upcoming events.

Colorado High School Gaming League

The Colorado High School Gaming League offers an exciting new outlet for fun, social interaction, competition, and teamwork that is beyond traditional high school sports programs. Because of the nature of eSports, age, gender, or school size are not factors in competitive play. Girls can play alongside guys and freshman can be teammates with seniors! In addition, the HGL provides a casual play element, allowing students to play just for fun with each other and not competitively with other schools if they prefer.
